Speakers
Mr. Connelly focuses on portfolio management and the strategic growth of the firm. He co-founded Symmetry Partners in 1994 to serve pension funds, closely held businesses, not-for-profit organizations and high-net-worth investors. He has broadened the focus of the firm to include a full range of retirement plans and independent fee-based advisors. Prior to co-founding Symmetry Partners, Mr. Connelly was a financial advisor with Dean Witter Reynolds serving high-net-worth clients. He also held positions with Merrill Lynch and Putnam Mutual Funds. Mr. Connelly received his BS in finance from Northeastern University and his MBA from the University of New Haven.

Speakers
Dr. McDermott began his affiliation with Symmetry in 2005. He is a renowned scholar focused on the role of liquidity in financial markets. He has been published in numerous academic journals, including The Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Financial Markets and The Journal of Futures Markets. Dr. McDermott received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, his MBA from Columbia University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.

Mr. Romano is responsible for supporting the business growth objectives of Symmetry’s strategic relationships. Working closely with the financial advisor community, Mr. Romano assists advisors in identifying and implementing a variety of tools and resources Symmetry has developed to help them grow their practices through improved efficiency. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Romano was previously employed by Advest, Inc. as a Relationship Marketing Consultant in the Asset Management Services Department. Mr. Romano graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA earning a degree in Business Management. He currently resides in Woodstock, CT.
Mr. McDonald directly responsible for overseeing Symmetry Partners’ Research. Mr. McDonald joined Symmetry in April of 2010. Prior to joining Symmetry, he held several international investment management positions at Prudential Capital Group and worked as an internal consultant for The Hartford Financial Services Group. He received his B.S. in International Finance & Commerce from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and his M.B.A. in Finance and Venture Consulting from the University of Connecticut. He became a CFA® charterholder in 2003, and a CAIA® charterholder in 2011.

Andrew Keiper is a Vice President and Regional Manager in Dimensional’s Global Client Group. Based in the Austin office, Andrew is a member of the Enterprise Group and leads a team focused on intermediary relationships and model portfolio distribution. Andrew began his career with Dimensional in 2004 in Santa Monica and became a Regional Director in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he spent three years at John Hancock and two years as a consultant in the international tax group at Ernst & Young.
Dan Villalon is a Principal and Global Co-head of the Portfolio Solutions Group at AQR Capital Management. In this role, he oversees the team responsible for advising clients on portfolio challenges as well as creating investor-oriented thought leadership, such as Alternative Thinking and other published research. Additionally, Dan founded, co-wrote and hosted AQR’s podcast, The Curious Investor. Prior to joining AQR, Dan was a senior business analyst at Mitchell Madison Group and an investment analyst in the private bank at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He earned a B.A. in physics from Pomona College and an M.B.A. with a concentration in analytical finance from the University of Chicago Booth’s School of Business. Dan is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Investing.

Greg began his career in 1998 with Fidelity Investments, with a focus on institutional and Family Office businesses. Most recently, prior to joining the leadership team at Orion, Greg built and led the TD Ameritrade Institutional Sales & Consulting team for 11 years. She oversees marketing automation and Hubspot CRM and consults regularly with Advisors on their own digital marketing. Andrea has both Hubspot Marketing and Hubspot Sales Certifications. Previously at Symmetry, she worked in National Accounts assisting in the training of sales desk partners and running campaigns for broker dealers.


Mr. Storer has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has worked with leading financial services firms including Wachovia, John Hancock, Merrill Lynch and New York Life Investment Management. During his career, he has worked with financial consultants and their clients throughout the United States in implementing investment strategies designed to help them in reaching their investment and retirement goals.
