John McDermott, Ph.D., Chief Investment Strategist, has worked with Symmetry since 2005. In his role, he manages and enhances Symmetry’s Evidence-Based solutions. A renowned scholar focused on the role of liquidity in financial markets, John has been published in numerous academic journals, including The Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Financial Markets, and The Journal of Futures Markets.

 

 

Arthur Fischer-Zernin, CFA®, Managing Director at AQR Capital Management. Arthur is a senior member of the Specialized Investments Group, which focuses on situations where laws and regulations have meaningful effects on trading decisions, portfolio design, and the choice of investment vehicles and oversees the design, implementation, and day-to-day portfolio management of tax-aware funds and accounts. Previously, Arthur held roles within Research and Portfolio Management, where he focused on Alternative Risk Premia and Multi-Strategy products, as well as within the Portfolio Solutions Group, which advises clients on portfolio challenges and creating investor-oriented thought leadership. Prior to joining AQR in 2010, Arthur was an analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
